Technology meets pest control expertise to ensure business quality control.

Next-generation pest management

Termapest is born

Termapest was started in 2001 by Tony Pereira-Moleiro who had been working at a major pest control company at the time but realised that the promises he was making as a surveyor weren’t being fulfilled by the company, and he had no control over the entire service experience.

He believed he could offer clients a better service and experience if he did it by himself, and that is how the business was born.

And…in all 23 years of running his own pest control business, he has not lost one client because his focus has always been on the needs of those he serves.

Termapest Limited was established to provide a high-quality pest control – fumigation – heat treatment – silo cleaning service operating from a dedicated industrial unit in Dough and Filey in North Yorkshire covering the United Kingdom/Ireland (and further afield when required.)

Mission and philosophies

We know what’s important to businesses, and we invest heavily in the tools and technology that enable us to deliver at a superior level.

Our business model concept is next level and based on detailed, value-add reporting for assessment, root cause analysis, recommendations, protection and maintenance.

There are three main areas that set us apart from our competitors working from the same level of infrastructure:

Pest Control Services

Residential Pest Control

Commercial Pest Control

Fumigations and Heat Treatment

Industrial and Marine

Audits, Reports and Consultancy

BMSB Approved Treatment

What’s important to us

We believe that nature and all creatures are to be treated with respect and kindness, and as such, we only employ people who care about nature and life.

We do not take joy in the extermination of living organisms, but we are honoured to know how to deal with these unintended “pests” in a way that does not cause unnecessary pain and suffering and treats the environment as kindly as possible.

Our products, systems and business operations comply with the relevant legislation, protect the environment and the health and safety of our employees and customers.

We are committed to utilising the most advanced techniques and products available in the market to treat any type of infestation, all in the knowledge that we as a company believe and promote; primarily the humane treatment of all living creatures in that each one has an intrinsic value and each contributes to the quality of life.

In the same vein, all staff are treated as equally important and we are all our own bosses. We do not have a hierarchy and we encourage everyone’s voices and opinions.

We are known for reliability and thoroughness – we do whatever it takes to fulfill our obligations and work as partners with our clients.

We are a small team, but our technology, processes and expertise put us above our competitors. We do not compete with other pest management companies of the same size, because our methodologies put us on par with the Big Boys.

Our values

“It is not for whom we work that we measure our success, but for whom we work repeatedly.”

Quality standards

Termapest operates a Quality Management System that has gained BS EN ISO 9001 : 2015, ISO14001 : 2015, OHSAS18001 : 2007 now replaced by our new ISO 45001 : 2018.

We see our ISO’s as being an essential platform from which we continue to refine our approach to quality and our own environmental impact as well as our Health & Safety policies. We translate these into tangible improvements that will benefit our customers both on-site and in their dealings with our company.

Our business model

At Termapest, we believe that Pest Management is as much a Science as logistics, engineering, accounting, etc., and although many people fail to recognise it as such, pest management is very important to the overall profitability of any company, by reducing product losses, equipment, and structural damage and reducing customer complaints.

Our company has moved into a next-generation concept for pest management that requires strong education, continued education, and communication with everyone from the floor to the managing director, on the priorities for prevention, monitoring, and control of rodent, bird, and insect pests.

In a conventional pest control program, the majority of time is spent on rodent device servicing and less on inspection and problem-solving.

But the behaviours of a particular rat, mouse, or insect population are often site-specific.

One size does not fit all when it comes to following a written program designed to remove a pest problem.

The calibre of the technicians often determines the success at effective rodent remediation and stored product pest management, and it starts with the knowledge of the pest first to start the search and time and vigilance to determine how widespread the problem may be.

We see our role as one of a partner with our customers and are more than happy to work with members of their own staff, whom we can empower with our knowledge, so that they, in turn, can make informed decisions in their own processes, which ultimately aid us in doing our job.

Our clients and we are a team: Termapest provides value to our clients and our clients provide value to us.

Priority is always given to the prevention of pests, rather than the cure, to minimise the destruction of life as much as possible, whether or not creatures for which we offer protection be generally considered to be pests.

Our aim as a Company is to excel at what we do, be creative and innovative rather than compete with mediocrity.

With each new day we strive to be better than we were yesterday.
